Dresden Kings Host Lakeshore

The Dresden Kings look a lot younger as they head into the Junior C hockey season.

"We lost three or four overagers last year, and then we had five guys that made the step up to Jr. B," says Kings head coach Rob Vanderydt. "So that's eight players right there that we had to replace."

But Vanderydt isn't worried. "We've got a good blend of experience and youth. We've got some projections where we want to be, but I think the biggest thing is, we're gonna have to have a lot of patience with a lot of new faces, and the young players that we have in the lineup."

The Kings opened the season on Wednesday with an 8-4 win over the Lakers in Wallaceburg.

Tonight, Dresden hosts the Lakeshore Canadiens, puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
