Maroons Down Flyers In OT

The Chatham Maroons scored a 4-3 overtime victory over the Leamington Flyers on Sunday.

After a scoreless first period, Leamington took a 3-1 lead in the second. However, the Maroons battled back in the third to tie the game 3-3 to force overtime. Kevin Gursoy scored the game winner for Chatham, just 28 seconds into extra time.

Ryan Gruszka, Austin Thompson and Cale Markham scored Chatham's three goals during regular play.

Griffin Robinson, Mark Gangnon and Blake Bain each scored once for Leamington.

The Maroons will travel to London on Wednesday to take on the Nationals at 7:30pm. And then on Thursday, the Flyers return home to Lambton Shores Predators at 7:10pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
