NHL Scouts Taking Notice Of Spitfires

Windsor Spitfires Gabe Vilardi, Mike DiPietro and Cole Purboo are named on the most recent Players To Watch list from NHL Central Scouting.

Of the three, Vilardi gets an 'A' rating. That, according to NHL.com, means he could be drafted in the first round of the next National Hockey League draft.

DiPietro is listed as a 'B' prospect, which indicates he could be a second or third round selection.

Purboo gets a 'C,' which means he's slated for the fourth, fifth or sixth round.

Vilardi has yet to play a game this season, as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

DiPietro has started three of Windsor's five games this season, winning one and losing two while sporting a 2.35 GAA and 0.911 SV%.

Purboo has appeared in all five of the Spits' games this season, scoring four goals.
