Chatham native Joseph Raaymakers has been named the OHL Player of the Week.

Raaymakers, who plays for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, was 3-0-0-0 with a 1.94 goals-against-average and a 0.930 save percentage.

Canadian Jamal Murray scored nine points in the fourth quarter and played 17 minutes for Denver as the Nuggets beat the Toronto Raptors 108-106 in a pre-season exhibition game in Calgary.

In the NFL's Monday Nighter -- it was a night to forget for Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants.

They were dominated by the undefeated Minnesota Vikings, who ended up winning the game 24-10.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
