Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – October 4, 2016

The Wallaceburg Lakers fell 5-1 to the Essex 73's in PJHL action on Tuesday.

Essex scored a 3-1 lead in the first period, and scored one goal in each of the final two periods to cap off their win.

Anthony Cristofaro led Essex with two goals, while Blake McConville, William Stadder and Tyler Scott each had one. Trevor Waller scored the single goal for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers are back on their home ice on Wednesday to take on the Lakeshore Canadiens at 7:30pm. And then on October 11, the 73's face off at home against the Blenheim Blades at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
