Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – October 5, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers scored a big 8-2 win over the St. Marys Lincolns in Junior B hockey on Wednesday.

Liam MacDougall led the Vipers with two goals, while Maddux Rychel, Cale Allen, Brett Primeau, Zack Hoffman, Nathan Savage and Tyler Russell all had one.

The Vipers will face the Lincons again in St. Marys on Friday at 7:30pm.

The London Nationals beat the Sarnia Legionnaires 3-1.

Austin Kemp was the lead scorer for the Nationals with two goals, and Max Vinogradov scored London's third.

The Nationals travel to St. Thomas on Friday to take on the Stars at 7:30pm.

The Wallaceburg Lakers suffered their third straight loss, dropping a 6-3 decision to the Lakeshore Canadiens in PJHL action.

Mejoe Gasparovic led the Canadiens with two goals, while Connor Rosaasen, Ameen Fadel, Jarrett Tazzman and Luke Mahon each scored one.

Trevor Waller, Josh Farrugia and Jacob Vancoillie scored the three goals for Wallaceburg.

The Canadiens will face off against the Mooretown Flags on Friday at 7pm. Also on Friday, the Lakers take on the Kings in Dresden at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
