Knights Battle Back To Beat Rangers 5-4

A late goal gave the London Knights a 5-4 win over the Kitchener Rangers Thursday night.

The Rangers scored a 1-0 advantage in the first period and extended their lead to 3-0 just over seven minutes into the second. The Knights fought back at the end of the second to get on the board with goals from Cliff Pu and JJ Piccinich.

Piccinich scored again early in the final period to tie the game, but Kitchener retook the lead with just over ten minutes left to play.  However, London's momentum continued with Robert Thomas scoring to tie the game, followed be Victor Mete who scored the game winner with just 50 seconds left on the clock.

The Knights are back at Budweiser Gardens on Friday to battle to the Saginaw Spirit at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
