The Chatham Maroons kept their winning streak going with a dramatic 7-6 win over the LaSalle Vipers in double overtime.

In Junior C hockey -- the Wallaceburg Lakers picked up their first win of the season, getting by the Flyers 6-5 in Petrolia while the Blenheim Blades beat the Dresden Kings 3-1.

In the OHL -- the London Knights downed Hamilton 7-2.

In the NFL -- Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown to Anquan Bolden with 16 seconds to go to give the Detroit Lions a 20-17 win over Washington.

Elsewhere -- Miami rallied past Buffalo 28-25, ending the Bills' four-game winning streak.

And the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals had to settle for a 6-6 tie in the Sunday nighter.

In NHL action -- the Winnipeg Jets were shut out 3-0 by the Edmonton Oilers in the Heritage Classic -- and Anaheim beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-2.

Joey Logano grabbed a critical victory, taking the checkered flag in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
