Spitfires To Take On Russia

Windsor Spitfires Logan Stanley and Gabe Vilardi will represent team OHL in this year's CIBC Canada-Russia Series.

The 25-man OHL roster was announced Tuesday.

The two Spits will appear in Game 3 of the series, being played in North Bay on November 10.  Game 4 will be played November 14 in Hamilton.

Vilardi has 11 points (5G, 6A) in seven games this season, while defenceman and Winnipeg Jets prospect Stanley has three assists in that span.

The OHL has a record of 22-3-1 in 13 years of competition against the Russian National Junior Team.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
