Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – October 26, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers crushed the Lambton Shores Predators 10-4 in Junior B hockey on Wednesday.

Brett Primeau, Jasper Forgrave led LaSalle with two goals each. Tyler Russell, Liam MacDougall, Brett Banwell, Frank Zak, Maddux Rychel and Nathan Savage tacked on a goal each as well.

The Vipers will take on the Legionnaires next in Sarnia on Thursday at 7:10pm.

Also in the GOJHL, the London Nationals edged the St. Thomas Stars 4-3.

Austin Kemp, Richard Whittaker, Ethan Nother and Brenden Trottier each scored once for London.

The Nationals head to Chatham on Sunday to take on the Maroons at 7pm.

The Wallaceburg Lakers dropped a 5-2 decision to the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals in PJHL action.

Cory Burns was the top scorer for Amherstburg with two goals, while Zack Yott, Brock Beaudoin and Curtis Prymack each had one.

Trevor Waller and Jacob Vancoillie scored the two goals for Wallacerburg.

The Lakers will take on the Lakeshore Canadiens on Friday at 7pm. Also on Friday, the Admirals will take on the Dresden Kings at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
