Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 2, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers scored a 5-3 victory over the Strathroy Rockets in Junior B hockey on Wednesday.

Brett Primeau, Jack Bowler, Cale Allen, Brendan Soto and Manny Silverio all scored once for LaSalle.

The Vipers head to Leamington on Thursday to take on the Flyers at 7:10pm.

Also in the GOJHL, the London Nationals downed the Lambton Shores Predators 6-2 for their third straight win.

Richard Whittaker, Adam Sinclair, Mason Howard, Max Vinogradov, Nathan Gomes and Colin Wilson scored the six goals for London.

The Nationals will battle the Legionnaires in Sarnia on Thursday at 7:10pm.

The Essex 73's continued a four game win streak with an 8-3 victory over the Wallaceburg Lakers.

William Stadder led Essex with a hat trick, while Tyler Scott scored two. Tyler Boughner and Kade McKibbin scored one each.

Trevor Waller was lead scorer for Wallaceburg with two goals, and Brayden Kettlewell scored the other point.

The Lakes return to the ice on Thursday when they take on the Petrolia Flyers And then on Friday, the 73's travel to Dresden to face off aginst the Kings at 7:30pm.at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
