Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 3, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers downed the Leamington Flyers 4-1 in GOJHL action on Thursday.

Brett Primeau, Nathan Savage, Daniel Beaudoin and Liam MacDougall scored a goal each for LaSalle.

Griffin Robinson scored Leamington's only goal.

The Flyers are on the road on Sunday to take on the Strathroy Rockets at 7:30pm. And then on Wednesday, the Vipers are at home against the Chatham Maroons at 7pm.

Also in Junior B hockey, the London Nationals fell 6-4 to the Sarnia Legionnaires.

Michael Andlauer led London with two goals, while Nathan Gomes and Richard Whittaker both scored one.

The Nationals are on home ice next Wednesday when they face off against the Strathroy Rockets at 7:30pm.

In the PJHL, the Wallaceburg Lakers fell 5-4 in overtime to the Petrolia Flyers in their fifth straight loss.

Josh Farrugia, Brett Farr, Trevor Waller and Cory Lucier all scored once for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers will take on the Wheatley Sharks next on Sunday at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
