The Edmonton Oilers edged the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 last night. Former Red Wings goaltender Jonas Gustavsson made 22 saves for the Oilers in the win.

Elsewhere -- the Winnipeg Jets lost to the Rangers 5-2 -- and the Calgary Flames fell 4-1 to Anaheim.

Matthew Stafford threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate as the Detroit Lions beat Minnesota 22-16 in overtime. Matt Prater kicked a 58-year field goal as time expired to force OT.

Meanwhile -- Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes as the Dallas Cowboys beat the winless Cleveland Browns 35-10.

DeMar DeRozan's streak of consecutive 30-plus point games ended at five as the Toronto Raptors fell 96-91 to Sacramento.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas turned into a night race after a nearly six hour rain delay. Carl Edwards ended up winning to lock himself into the championship battle.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
