Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 7, 2016

The Lakeshore Canadiens won their sixth straight game, with a 6-5 victory over the Wheatley Sharks on Monday.

Mejoe Gasparovic, Jarrett Tazzman, JJ Percy, Zander Shepherd, Colton Coates and Kyle Gagnon all scored once for Lakeshore.

Nick Tavolieri-Essex led Wheatley with two goals, while Antonio Ciampa, Ryan Markett and Mitchell Prudence each had one.

The Canadiens will travel to Petrolia on Thursday to take on the Flyers at 7:30pm. And then on Saturday, the Sharks will battle the Flags in Mooretown at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
