Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 18, 2016

The Amherstburg Integrity Admirals beat Lakeshore 6-2, to snap the Canadiens' nine-game winning streak on Friday.

Cory Burns and Jordan Luciw led the Admirals with two goals each, while Dean Patterson and Curtis Prymack both scored once.

Jarrett Tazzman and Zander Shepherd scored the two goals for Lakeshore.

The Admirals are back at home to take on the Mooretown Flags on Sunday at 7pm. And then on Wednesday, the Canadiens take on the Lakers in Wallaceburg at 7:30pm.

Also, the Dresden Kings edged the Blenheim Blades 5-4.

Kevin Ritzer was top scorer for Dresden with two goals. Logan Purbrick, Macks Holmes and Austin Bentley all scored once.

Zach Horvath, Brayden Hopkins, Matt Clark and Dustin Maines all scored once for Blenheim.

The Kings and Blades will face off again on Sunday at 7pm in Blenheim.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
