Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 25, 2016

The Lakeshore Canadiens edged the Dresden Kings 5-4 in PJHL action on Friday.

Ameen Fadel, Colton Coates, Parker Boyle, Mejoe Gasparovic and Connor Rosaasen all scored one goal for Lakeshore.

Derek Shaw, Geoffry VandenBoorn, Kevin Ritzer and Eric Carter each scored once for Dresden.

The Canadiens head to Amherstburg on Sunday to face off against the Admirals at 7pm. And then on December 1, the Kings take on Lakeshore again at 7pm.

And in the GOJHL, the London Nationals shutout the St. Marys Lincolns 8-0.

Austin Kemp led London with two goals, while Carson Brookshaw, Kyle Dawson, Ethan Nother, Kenny Chisholm, Max Vinogradov and Isaiah Payne each had one.

The Nationals are on home ice on Wednesday to take on the Sarnia Legionnaires at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
