Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 30, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers hammered the Lambton Shores Predators 11-1 on Wednesday to earn their eighth straight win.

Brett Primeau, Liam MacDougall and Manny Silverio led LaSalle with two goals each. Jasper Forgrave, Nathan Savage, Daniel Beaudoin, Cale Allen and Tyler Russell all scored once.

The Vipers take on the Lincolns in St. Marys on Friday at 7:30pm.

As well, the London Nationals blanked the Sarnia Legionnaires 7-0.

Michael Andlauer, Ethan Nother, Brenden Trottier, Austin Kemp, Kyle Dawson, Richard Whittaker and Riley Coome all scored once in the shutout victory.

The Nationals will take on the St. Marys Lincolns at home on December 7 at 7:30pm.

In the PJHL, the Essex 73's continued a seven-game win streak with a 4-1 victory over the Wallaceburg Lakers.

Anthony Cristofaro was top scorer for Essex with two goals, while Michael Vieira and William Stadder each scored a one goal.

Brayden Kettlewel scored Wallaceburg's lone goal.

The 73's return to the ice when they take on the Flags in Mooretown on Friday at 7:30pm. And then on Saturday, the Lakers travel to Mooretown as well to battle the Flags at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
