Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – December 1, 2016

The Lakeshore Canadiens scored a 9-5 victory over the Dresden Kings on Thursday.

Kyle Gagnon and Mejoe Gasparovic led the Canadiens with two goals each. Connor Rosaasen, Ameen Fadel, Jake Nimmo, Joe Binder and Kyler Carter all scored once.

Austin Bentley was top scorer for Dresden with two goals, while Macks Holmes, Alex Hall and Will Tetzlaff each had one.

The Canadiens and the Kings face off again on Friday at 7:30pm in Dresden.

As well, the Wheatley Sharks beat the Petrolia Flyers 5-3.

Eric Prudence, Alixe Saliba, Justin Pinsonneault, Nick Tavolieri-Essex and Jake Pickersgill all scored once for Wheatley.

The Sharks are at home on Monday when they take on the Amherstburg Admirals at 7pm.

The Leamington Flyers downed the St. Thomas Stars 4-1 in GOJHL action.

Liam Hogan scored twice, while Dallas Maurovic and Cale Phibbs both scored one goal in Leamington's win.

The Flyers head to St. Thomas on Friday to battle Stars again at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
