A good night on the stat sheet for Chatham-Kent natives in the NHL.

TJ Brodie had a goal and an assist, but the Calgary Flames lost 6-3 to Tampa Bay. The loss ends the Flames six-game winning streak.

Meantime -- Travis Konecny notched his 12th assist of the season as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Colorado Avalanche 4-3.

In other NHL action, San Jose Sharks beat Ottawa 4-3 in a shootout and Pittsburgh beat the Bruins 4-3 in overtime.

In the NBA -- DeMar DeRozan put up 31 points and Kyle Lowry added 20 more as the Toronto Raptors topped the Philadephia 76ers 123-114 for their fourth straight win.

In other basketball action -- Reggie Jackson scored 20 points as the Detroit Pistons beat the Dallas Mavericks 95-85.

Canada shutout the Czech Republic 8-0 in a preparation game ahead of the world junior hockey championship.

This year's tournament runs from December 26 to January 5 in Toronto and Montreal.
