Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – December 16, 2016

The Wallaceburg Lakers suffered a crushing 15-1 defeat at the hands of the Lakeshore Canadiens on Friday.

Colin Sartor was top scorer for Lakeshore with a hat trick, while Ameen Fadel, Kyler Carter and Brandon Ireland each scored twice. Jake Nimmo, Colin Sartor, Mejoe Gasparovic, Joe Binder, Lucas Gignac and JJ Percy also scored once.

Garret Wojcicki scored Wallaceburg's only goal.

The Lakers are at home to take on the Blenheim Blades on Wednesday at 7:30pm. And then on December 23, the Canadiens will battle the Petrolia Flyers in Lakeshore at 7pm.

The Amherstburg Admirals earned their ninth straight win with a 5-2 victory over the Dresden Kings.

Jordan Luciw led Amherstburg with two goals, while Caleb Paquette, Dylan Muzzatti and Curtis Prymack each scored once.

Derek Shaw and Will Tetzlaff each scored once for Dresden.

The Admirals are at thome to take on the Petrolia Flyers on Saturday at 7:30pm. And then on Thursday, the Kings head to Petrolia to face off against the Flyers at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
