Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – December 22, 2016

The Leamington Flyers edged the St. Marys Lincolns 4-3 on Thursday.

Griffin Robinson led Leamington with two goals, while Josh Pope-Ferguson and Cale Phibbs both scored once.

The Leamington Flyers are at home on January 5 when they take on the LaSalle Vipers at 7:10pm.

And in the PJHL, the Blenheim Blades scored a 5-2 decision over the Wheatley Sharks.

Zach Horvath was top scorer for Blenheim with two goals, while Drew Marlatt, Kain Hopkins, Ryan Zsebok and Austin Bentley each scored once.

The Sharks return to the ice on Wednesday when they take on the Admirals in Amherstburg at 7pm. And then on January 8, the Blades are at home against the Dresden Kings at 7pm.

As well, the Dresden Kings fell 8-6 to the Petrolia Flyers.

Kyle Hachey scored twice for Dresden, while Will Tetzlaff, Dillon Liberty, Kevin Ritzer and Geoffry VandenBoorn all scored one.

The Kings are on home ice on Friday when they take on the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
