Local Players Play Well at Top Prospects

The Chatham Maroons were well represented at the GOJHL Top Prospect games in Ancaster.

Forward Kevin Gursoy had a goal and an assist in the second game, which featured 17 and 18-year-old players.

Maroons goaltender Lucas Patton stopped 11 of 13 shots in the first game, which primarily featured 16-year-old players.

LaSalle Viper Jack Bowler had a goal and three assists in the early game, while teammate Stewart Dershahn made 20 saves. Parker Jacques of the Leamington Flyers added an assist.

Griffin Robinson of the Flyers had a goal in the late game.

Bobby Harrison and Braden Henderson from the Maroons also played in the early game.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
