World Juniors Round Robin Ends as Canada Falls to USA 3-1

Jordan Greenway got a goal and two assists as the United States beat Canada 3-1 at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships Saturday at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Thomas Chabot would be the lone goal scorer for Canada as round robin play concludes in the tournament.

Canada fell into penalty trouble early in the game, as the US scored two power play goals back-to-back in the first period.  Colin White picked up the first extra-man goal at 4:31 in the opening period, followed at 6:04 by Greenway's goal.

Chabot's score got Canada on the board at 8:12 in the second period, but Jeremy Bracco would get the insurance goal for the Americans at 13:08 in the frame.

Connor Ingram got 17 saves in goal for Team Canada.  Both Canada and the United States advance to the knockout quarterfinal round, both playing on Monday.  Canada will take on the Czech Republic, the USA will face Switzerland.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
