A Blow To Spitfires' Blue Line

Windsor Spitfires defenceman and Winnipeg Jets prospect Logan Stanley is expected to miss the next four months after undergoing knee surgery.

General Manager Warren Rychel says the 18-year-old suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee in the team's 4-3 shootout loss against Kitchener last week.

The length of recovery time puts Stanley's status for the Mastercard Memorial Cup tournament in doubt.

Rychel says the Spitfires are also dealing with injuries to key players Logan Brown and Jeremiah Addison right now.

Brown is expected to be out for up to four weeks with a right hand injury he suffered in a 2-1 win over Niagara last Saturday.

Addison will miss two more weeks with a bruised lung.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
