Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 13, 2017

The Amherstburg Admirals will move on to the second round of the PJHL playoffs following a 4-2 win over the Wheatley Sharks on Monday.

Curtis Prymack, Caleb Paquette, Ryan Holzel and Cory Burns each scored once for Amherstburg.

Mitchell Prudence and Alixe Saliba scored the two goals for Wheatley.

The Admirals won the best-of-seven series 4-2.

The schedule for the next round of the Junior C playoffs has yet to be announced.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
