Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 15, 2017

The LaSalle Vipers shutout the London Nationals 1-0 in Junior B hockey on Wednesday.

Nathan Savage scored the sole goal of the game for LaSalle.

The Nationals head to Strathroy to take on the Rockets on Saturday at 7:30pm. And then on Sunday, the Vipers are in Chatham to battle the Maroons at 7pm.

The Blenheim Blades scored a 5-3 win over the Dresden Kings to win the playoff series 4-2.

Kier Cumming led Blenheim with two goals, while Bryce Broad, Austin Bentley and Carter Wright each had one.

Ryan Malott, Kevin Ritzer and Geoffry VandenBoorn all scored once for Dresden.

The Blades will now move on to the PJHL semifinals to take on the Lakeshore Canadiens.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
