Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 17, 2017

The Blenheim Blades doubled the Lakeshore Canadiens 4-2 on Friday, in Game 1 of their PJHL semi-final playoff series.

Matt Clark, Drew Marlatt, Dustin Maines and Eric Stewardson all scored once for the Blades.

Kyler Carter and Connor Rosaasen scored the two goals for Lakeshore.

The two teams face off on Sunday for Game 2. The puck drops at 7pm in Blenheim.

And the Essex 73's scored a 4-3 overtime win against the Amherstburg Admirals in Game 1 of their semi-final series.

Luke Gecse, Tyler Scott and Adam Gaiarin each scored one goal for Essex in regular play. Gecse scored the game winner in OT.

Mark Gangnon, Curtis Prymack and Cory Burns all had one goal for the Admirals.

Game 2 is on Sunday in Amherstburg at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
