Nationals Shut Out Flyers 4-0, Lead Series 2-1

Cameron Zanussi turned away all 12 shots he faced in goal as the London Nationals beat the Leamington Flyers at home Saturday night 4-0.

The win put the Nationals ahead two games to one in the best-of-seven GOJHL Western Conference Finals.

Noah Hedrick had 26 saves in goal in a losing effort for the Flyers.

London got things started with Ethan Nother's lone first period goal.   The Nationals scored two more in the second period.  The first was a power play goal from Brandon Glover at 1:41 in the middle frame.  Isaiah Payne followed with a score later in the stanza.

Austin Kemp made it 4-0 on a short-handed, empty net goal at 16:19 in the third period.

Game 4 of the series is Sunday night in Leamington.  Puck drop is scheduled for 7:10pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
