Chatham's Joseph Raaymakers is the OHL's player of the week.

The 19-year-old Soo Greyhounds goaltender currently leads the league in save percentage (.954 SV%) and goals against average (1.43 GAA) in the playoffs.

The Chicago Cubs raised their 2016 World Series flag last night at Wrigley Field.

Chatham-native and baseball Hall-of-Famer Fergie Jenkins (who played for the Cubs from 1966-73 and again from 1982-83) helped the team mark the occasion by raising the 1908 Cubs banner.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
