Nationals Hold On Against Sugar Kings In Game 4

The London Nationals defeated the Elmira Sugar Kings 6-4 in Game 4 to stave off elimination on Wednesday.

Max Vinogradov drew first blood for the Nationals with the only goal for the first period, but Tyler McBay tied things up for Elmira with a goal 8:04 into the second.  Vinogradov followed up by scoring his second of the night to put London in the lead heading into the third.

It was a back-to-back final frame, with Brandon Glover scoring twice for London along with Austin Kemp and Brenden Trottier who both score one goal each. Ethan Skinner, Jake Brown and Klayton Hoelscher all scored once for Elmira but it wasn't enough to retake the lead before the end of the game.

Goaltender Cameron Zanussi made 35 saves out of 39 shots on net for London, while Suger Kings goalie Jonathan Reinhart made 27 saves out of 32 shots on net.

The Sugar Kings lead the Sutherland Cup final series 3-1.

The two teams face off for Game 5 on Friday in London. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
