Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – September 22, 2017

The Lakeshore Canadiens beat the Petrolia Flyers 4-3 in overtime on Friday.

Michael Long scored the game winner in OT, while Mejoe Gasparovic, Ameen Fadel and Dylan Bradley each scored once during regular play.

The Canadiens are in Essex to take on the 73's on Sunday at 6pm.

Also in Junior C hockey action, the Dresden Kings fell 6-2 to the Essex 73's.

Luke Gecse led Essex with a hat trick, while Riley Meyerink, Matthew MacLeod and William Stadder all scored one goal.

Kyle Hachey and Brodie Conlon scored the two goals for Dresden.

The 73's face the Lakeshore Canadiens next on Sunday at 6pm. And then on Monday, the Kings are in Wheatley to battle the Sharks at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
