Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – September 28, 2017

The Leamington Flyers doubled the Komoka Kings 6-3 on Monday.

Zach Guilbeault, Cody Schneider, Maddux Rychel, Blake Bain, Griffin Robinson and Josh Pope-Ferguson all scored once for Leamington.

The Flyers will head to St. Marys on Saturday to take on the Lincolns at 7:30pm.

The Wheatley Sharks remain winless after six games, following a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the Blenheim Blades.

Nick Delyzer Dede Cato led Blenheim with two goals each, while drew marlatt and Lucas Fancy both scored one goal.

Drew Denomey and Delaney MacDonald scored the two goals for Wheatley.

The Blades are on home ice on Sunday to battle the Dresden Kings at 7pm. And then on Monday, the Sharks are back in Wheatley to play the Essex 73's at 7pm.

As well, the Petrolia Flyers hammered the Wallaceburg Lakers 7-1.

Josh Oberg scored Wallaceburg's only goal of the night.

The Lakers are at home on Wednesday to take on the Wheatley Sharks at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
