Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – October 13, 2017

The Lakeshore Canadiens doubled the Essex 73's 4-2 on Friday.

Ameen Fadel, Kyler Carter, Connor Rosaasen and Dylan Bradley all scored once for Lakeshore.

Adam Gaiarin and Justin Bondy scored the two goals for Essex.

The Canadiens head to Blenheim on Sunday to take on the Blades at 7pm. And then on Wednesday, the 73's return home to take on the Blades at 7pm.

Also in Junior C hockey, the Dresden Kings beat the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals 5-2.

Brendan Ritchie led Dresden with two goals, while Kevin Ritzer, Nolan VandenBoorn and Will Tetzlaff scored one goal each.

Ryan Holzel and Cory Burns each scored a goal for Amherstburg.

The Admirals and the Kings face off again on Sunday in Amherstburg. The puck drops at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
