Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – October 25, 2017

The LaSalle Vipers dropped a 3-2 decision to the Komoka Kings on Wednesday.

Kory Silverio and Eric Kirby both scored for LaSalle.

The Vipers head to Sarnia on Thursday to take on the the Legionnaires at 7:10pm.

Also in the GOJHL, the London Nationals beat the St. Thomas Stars 5-2.

Brett Primeau, Matt Granger, Brett Whitehead, Luke Drewitt and Austin Jeffers all scored once for London.

The Nationals are on home ice on November 1 to battle the Komoka Kings at 7:30pm.

And in Junior C hockey, the Wallaceburg Lakers' long running losing streak continued on Wednesday, in a 9-3 defeat at the hands of the Mooretown Flags.

Dale McMaster, Ty Lucio and Zachery Hartig scored the three goals for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers travel to Lakeshore on Friday to face off against the Canadiens at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
