Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – November 23, 2017

The Dresden Kings topped the Petrolia Flyers 5-2 on Thursday.

Nolan Ross, Kevin Ritzer, Cory Lucier, Nolan VandenBoorn and Derek Shaw all scored once for Dresden.

The Kings will head to the Atlas Centre on Friday to battle the Lakeshore Canadiens at 7pm.

As well, the Amherstburg Admirals doubled the Blenheim Blades 6-3.

Bryce McGregor led Amherstburg with a hat-trick, while Ryan Alexander, Ryan Holzel and Cory Burns all scored one goal.

Ryan Malott, Lucas Fancy and Seth Henderson scored the three goals for Blenheim.

The Blades will take on the Wallaceburg Lakers in Blenheim on Saturday at 6:15pm. And then on Sunday, the Admirals return home to take on the Lakers at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
