Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up — January 30, 2018

The Lakeshore Canadiens topped the Blenheim Blades 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday.

Matt Smith scored the game-winner for Lakeshore in OT, and Jarrett Tazzman added two goals during regular play.  Kyler Carter also scored once.

Christian Moccia led Blenheim by scoring twice, while Dede Cato scored one goal.

The Blades will take on the Flyers in Petrolia on Thursday at 7:30pm. And on Friday, the Canadiens will play their final regular season game Flyers in Lakeshore at 7pm.

As well, the Essex 73's fell 4-3 to the Mooretown Flags.

Jack Sanko, Riley Meyerink and Cody Leeming scored the three goals for Essex.

The 73's will head to Wallaceburg on Wednesday for their final regular season game against the Lakers. The puck drops at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
