Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – February 23, 2018

The Dresden Kings edged the Essex 73's 4-3 in Junior C playoff action on Friday.

Brendan Ritchie, Derek Shaw, Geoffry VandenBoorn and Darien Davis all scored once for Dresden.

Wyatt ONeil led Essex with two goals, and Michael Ruttinger added another.

The 73's lead the semifinal series 2-1.

The two teams face off in Game 4 n Sunday. The puck drops at 2:30pm in Essex.

The Lakeshore Canadiens beat the Mooretown Flags 3-1 in Game 1 of the semi-final playoff series.

Kyler Carter was the top scorer for Lakeshore with two goals, while Matt Teno scored once.

Game 2 is on Saturday at 7:30pm in Mooretown.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
