Jr. hockey wrap-up – September 20, 2018

The Leamington Flyers hammered the Komoka Kings 8-3 on Thursday.

Ryan Gagnier and Griffin Robinson were the top scorers for Leamington with two goals each. Jake Nimmo, Zach Taylor, Johnny Ulicny and Cameron Armstrong all scored one goal as well.

The Flyers are on home ice again on September 27 to take on the LaSalle Vipers at 7:10 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Wheatley Sharks topped the Petrolia Flyers 4-1.

Braedon Caetano scored two goals for Wheatley, while Parker Boyle and Cole Butler both scored once.

The Sharks return home on Wednesday to battle the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
