Jr. hockey wrap-up – October 2, 2018

The Wallaceburg Lakers continue to ride a six-game losing streak following a 4-1 loss to the Essex 73's on Tuesday.

Josh Pope-Ferguson scored twice for Essex, while Dawson Winchester and William Stadder both scored once.

Parker Hammond scored once for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers will try to bounce back on Wednesday when they take on the Petrolia Flyers in Wallaceburg at 7:30 p.m. And then on Friday, the 73's are in Lakeshore to battle the Canadiens at 7 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
