Jr. hockey wrap-up – October 3, 2018

The London Nationals are riding a seven-game winning streak following a 6-3 victory over the Komoka Kings on Wednesday.

Max Vinogradov, Christian Polillo, Riley MacRae, Cohen Kiteley, Christian Polillo and Dillon Ward all scored once for London.

The Nationals will head to Komoka to face the Kings again on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Wheatley Sharks topped the Dresden Kings 3-2 in overtime.

Evan Prince, Alixe Saliba both scored once for Wheatley, while Braedon Caetano scored the game-winner in OT.

Derek Shaw and Darien Davis scored the two goals for Dresden.

The Kings return home on Friday to take on the Mooretown Flags at 7:30 p.m. And then on Saturday, Wheatley will face the Flags in Mooretown at 7:30 p.m.

As well, the Wallaceburg Lakes fell 2-1 to the Petrolia Flyers.

Zander Wright scored the single goal for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers are in Wallaceburg again on October 10 to play the Amherstburg Admirals at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
