Jr. hockey wrap-up – October 24, 2018

The London Nationals topped the Leamington Flyers 5-3 in GOJHL action on Wednesday.

Christian Polillo led London with a hat-trick, while Max Vinogradov and George Diaco both scored once.

Adam Jeffery, Ryan Gagnier and Rory DiNiro scored the three goals for Leamington.

The two teams face off again in Leamington on Thursday at 7:10 p.m.

As well, the LaSalle Vipers trounced the St. Marys Lincolns 6-1.

Spencer Paradis was the lead scorer for LaSalle with two goals, while Cody Schneider, Aaron Shaw, AJ Ryan and Kyle Walker all scored one goal.

The Vipers hit the road on October 31 to face off against the Nationals in London at 7 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Wheatley Sharks beat the Mooretown Flags 5-3.

Michael Connolly, Parker Boyle, Braydon Davis, Braedon Caetano and Cole Butler each scored once goal for Wheatley.

The Sharks will head to Wallaceburg on October 31 to battle the Lakers at 7:30 p.m.

The Wallaceburg Lakers fell 3-2 to the Petrolia Flyers in overtime.

Jeff Williams and Sam Haight scored the two goals for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers are in Dresden on Friday to take on the Kings at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
