Jr. hockey wrap-up – October 25, 2018

The London Nationals topped the Leamington Flyers 6-4 on Thursday.

Austin Jeffers, Cohen Kiteley, Bryce Lewis, James Turner, George Diaco and Ryan McAllister all scored once for London.

Ryan Gagnier, Cameron Armstrong, Adam Jeffery and Wyatt O`Neil scored the four goals for Leamington.

The Flyers will head to Chatham on Sunday to battle the Maroons at 7 p.m. And then on October 31, the Nationals return home to face off against the LaSalle Vipers at 7 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Blenheim Blades fell 4-1 to the Amherstburg Admirals.

Cory Burns led Amherstburg with a hat-trick and Bryce McGregor scored once.

Dede Cato scored the single goal for Blenheim.

The Admirals will take on the Essex 73's next on Sunday in Amherstburg at 7 p.m. Also on Sunday, the Blades are on home ice again to play the Lakeshore Canadiens at 7 p.m.

As well, the Essex 73's beat the Petrolia Flyers 4-1.

Jack Sanko, Michael Vieira, Bryce OBrien and Tyler Beneteau all scored one goal for Essex.

The 73's will take on the Amherstburg Admirals next on Sunday, The puck drops at 7 p.m. in Amherstburg.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
