Jr. hockey wrap-up – October 26, 2018

The Dresden Kings brought their win streak to seven games, following a 4-1 victory over the Wallaceburg Lakers on Friday.

Nolen Vandenboorn and Brendan Ritchie both scored twice for Dresden.

Jeff Williams scored the single goal for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers are on Mooretown on Saturday to take on the Flags at 7:30 p.m. And then on November 2, the Kings are on home ice again to face off against the Essex 73's at 7:30 p.m.

As well, the Mooretown Flags snapped a six-game win streak for Lakeshore by beating the Canadiens 3-2.

Nathan Skulley scored both goals for Lakeshore.

The Canadiens return to the ice on Sunday to take on the Blenheim Blades. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in Blenheim.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
