Jr. hockey wrap-up – November 16, 2018

The Lakeshore Canadiens crushed the Blenheim Blades 8-1 in Junior C hockey action on Friday.

Eric Larue led Lakeshore with two goals, while Tycen Chittle, Dylan Bradley, Hunter Bailey, Steven Sartor, Andrew Thoms and Nathan Skulley all scored once.

Sebastian Stubberfield scored the single goal for Blenheim.

The Blades return home on Sunday to take on the Petrolia Flyers at 7 p.m. And then on November 23, the Flyers are on home ice to face off against the Dresden Kings at 7 p.m.

As well, the Petrolia Flyers fell 5-2 to the Dresden Kings.

Kyle Hachey, Nolen Vandenboorn, Eric Carter, Kenny Chisholm and Brendan Ritchie all scored once for Dresden.

The Kings head to Mooretown on Saturday to battle the Flags at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
