Jr. hockey wrap-up – November 23, 2018

The London Nationals topped the St. Thomas Stars 5-2 on Friday.

Josh Wright, Jack Wieringa, Christian Polillo, Cal Davis and George Diaco all scored once for London.

The Nationals will take on the Chatham Maroons next on Wednesday. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in London.

AJ Ryan led the LaSalle Vipers to a 6-4 victory over the St. Marys Lincolns.

Ryan was the lead scorer with a hat-trick, while Evan Ferguson, Gianluca Pizzuto and Stefan Dobrich each scored one goal.

The Vipers return home on Wednesday to take on the LaSalle Vipers at 7 p.m.

And the Lakeshore Canadiens edged the Dresden Kings 4-3 in overtime.

Nathan Skulley scored the game-winner in OT and one goal during regular play for Lakeshore. Blake Bain and Dylan Bradley each scored once.

Nolen Vandenboorn, Brantley Kuipers and Cory Lucier fro Dresden.

The Kings are in Blenheim on Saturday to battle the Blades at 6:15 p.m. And on November 29, the Canadiens will travel to Petrolia to face the Flyers at 7:30 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
