Jr. hockey wrap-up – December 12, 2018

The London Nationals shutout the Sarnia Legionnaires 4-0 in GOJHL action on Wednesday.

Josh Castle, Max Vinogradov, Riley MacRae and Christian Polillo all scored once for London.

The Nationals are in St. Marys on Friday to take on the Lincolns at 7:30 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Lakeshore Canadiens doubled the Dresden Kings 4-2.

The Kings are on home ice on Friday to face off against the Blenheim Blades at 7:30 p.m. Also on Friday, the Canadiens return to Lakeshore to battle the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7 p.m.

The Wallaceburg Lakers fell 5-1 to the Petrolia Flyers.

Jeff Williams scored Wallaceburg's only goal of the game.

The Lakers head to Lakeshore on Friday to take on the Canadiens at 7 p.m.

The Wheatley Sharks topped the Mooretown Flags 5-2.

Braedon Caetano led Wheatley with two goals, while Dawson Iles, Parker Boyle and Drew Denomey each scored once.

The Sharkshead to Essex on Tuesday to take on the 73's at 7 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
