Jr. hockey wrap-up – December 21, 2018

The Lakeshore Canadiens topped the Amherstburg Admirals 4-1 on Friday.

Matt Smith led Lakeshore with two goals, while Colin Sartor and Matt Teno both scored once.

Cory Burns scored the single goal for Amherstburg.

The Admirals are back at home on Sunday to take on the Essex 73's at 7 p.m. And then on January 2, the Canadiens are in Mooretown to battle the Flags at 8 p.m.

As well, the Dresden Kings beat the Mooretown Flags 3-1.

Geoffry VandenBoorn, Eric Carter and Greg Hay all scored once for Dresden.

The Kings will head to Blenheim on Sunday to take on the Blades at 7 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
