Jr. hockey wrap-up – January 18, 2019

The Lakeshore Canadiens crushed the Wallaceburg Lakers 8-2 on Friday.

Jarrett Tazzman led Lakeshore with a hat-trick, while Tycen Chittle added another two goals. Jake Nimmo, Hunter Bailey and Dylan Bradley each scored once.

Jeff Williams and Zander Wright scored the two goals for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers will head to Amherstburg on Sunday to take on the Admirals at 7 p.m. And then on Wednesday, the Canadiens face off against the Lakers again in Wallaceburg at 7:30 p.m.

The Dresden Kings topped the Petrolia Flyers 6-2.

Kenny Chisholm led Dresden with two goals, while Nolen Vandenboorn, Bayly Fryfogle, Josh Noah and Greg Hay all scored once.

The Kings are in Mooretown on Saturday to battle the Flags at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
