Jr. hockey wrap-up – January 22, 2019

The Amherstburg Admirals doubled the Essex 73's 4-2 on Tuesday.

Caleb Paquette, Josh DiCarlo, Kyle Meloche and Broden Meloche each scored once for Amherstburg.

Matthew MacLeod and Quinn Fazekas scored the two goals for Essex.

The Admirals return home on Thursday to take on the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7 p.m. And then on Friday, the 73's will battle the Canadiens in Lakeshore at 7 p.m.

The Blenheim Blades fell 3-2 to the Petrolia Flyers in overtime.

Will Tetzlaff and Dede Cato both scored once for Blenheim.

The Blades are on home ice on Sunday to face off against the Mooretown Flags. The puck drops at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
