Jr. hockey wrap-up – March 1, 2019

The London Nationals beat the St. Thomas Stars 6-2 in Game 2 on Friday.

Noah Tooke, Christian Polillo, Wes Dobbin, James Turner, George Diaco and Zach Sheedy all scored once for London.

London leads the best of seven series 2-0.

The two teams face off in Game 3 on Saturday in London. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

The Dresden Kings have been eliminated from the playoffs after a 3-1 loss to the Lakeshore Canadiens in Game 6.

Dylan Bradley, Matt Teno and Hunter Bailey each scored a goal for Lakeshore.

Greg Hay the single goal for Dresden.

Lakeshore won the best of seven series 4-2.

The Canadiens will now move on to face to the Essex 73's in the West Conference semifinals.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
